Yes, you are welcome to take the video courses at any time. If you decide to join a live class later, you will receive credit for the video coursework.

The videos include essential information on anatomy, movement principles and common pathologies related to each area. They make the material delivered in the live course more meaningful. Even if you have a strong background in these areas, the video coursework is highly recommended as a comprehensive resource.

Live courses are offered by Balanced Body Authorised Training Centres around the world. Use the Education Finder under Advanced Movement Principles to find courses in your area. If you would like to offer the programme at your facility, contact the Balanced Body Education office and they can assist in arranging an on-site training.

This programme was designed to achieve two goals:

  • To upskill your ability to use movement safely and effectively when working with common misalignments, imbalances and injuries
  • To elevate participants by demonstrating advanced training and professional expertise as a highly skilled Pilates professional

Both goals will enhance your teaching opportunities and help you stand out from your peers when applying for positions at studios, health clubs and wellness facilities.

This course is designed to be completed over 18 months to two years. The process involves watching a video, attending a live class, and then working with the material for several months before progressing to the next course.

To gain recognition as a Balanced Body Advanced Movement Practitioner, you must complete all video and live coursework and submit three case studies to your Educator. The case studies document your experience working with a client over time and provide insight into progressing a client towards greater health and wellbeing.

Each live course is accompanied by monthly online mentoring sessions where you can ask questions and receive guidance.
